Hey Y'all! I have a SUPER exciting and fun project that I did with my 13 year old son we made homemade lemon soap shaped like Lego men and bricks! At first I was kinda scared to use these silicone trays for making soap. The lemon scent that I used is a cold press oil so I was fearful that if I made this soap I would no longer be able to use these trays again with any food products. I was happy to see how well these trays cleaned out and that there was no after smell. When making the soap there was nothing to clean up or pick off each item popped out with ease. I was happy to see how easy these trays was to use and how well each item was made. Each lego and each man all are very detailed. Which I thought was great being that some of the parts are very small. We cant wait to pick up some chocolate chips at the local marker to try them next!

To make your own soap you will need.
5 to 6 cubes of glycerin soap
Lemon Oil  as much or as little you like
Coloring dye
Form tray
Plastic bowl

Here is how we made our soap-
You stick your cubes of glycerin in the plastic bowl and then into the microwave for 10 -15 seconds. Stir them around. You will then add any scent you like and coloring. Stick your blow back into the microwave until the glycerin is melted. CAUTION!!! This is where a adult needs to be around! You soap mix will be very hot! You will want to carefully pour the mixture into the silicone mold and allow it to cool for 10 to 15 mins. Tip: I allowed my trays to cool for about 5 mins then I froze them to speed them up some.

Since I got 2 trays when I ordered I am going to giveaway one set to one lucky viewer!!!!

Silicone Lego Molds

  1. Thanks for the soap recipe BTW!!!

  2. Well isn't this just cute as can be! I have never seen anything like this. What a fun and exciting idea. These would be great gifts for kids. I love your pictures too! Thanks for sharing :)

  3. Will the coloring stain the skin? I love this idea.

  4. Oh wow! These are SO COOL! Thanks for the great giveaway!

  5. Oh man my kids would love these. Great review and I entered your giveaway!

  6. I have been looking for something like this. Thanks! Lego chocolates would be fun!

  7. Very creative! The soaps are too cute.

  8. Wow, this is really awesome. Thanks for the chance to win. These are super cute!

  9. These Lego molds are awesome! I love buying molds on Etsy and Amazon. I usually use my molds for chocolate, but if I ever find that I want to use it for something else I am always hesitant because I feel like it would be weird to put soap in it once, and then wash and then put chocolate in it. I dunno--but seriously these Legos are so dang cute! Gonna have to invest in them and add them to my collection.

    1. I agree. These didn't stain at all. I think we will use these for just non foods to be safe

  10. Honestly, how could you go wrong with LEGO molds? What a great giveaway! My son hasn't quite figured out the amazingness of Legos but I'm sure he definitely wouldn't mind this! :)
